In the present article, the power of financial ratios based on cash flow statement will be investigated, to foresee the companies' bankruptcies. To accomplish this, two metric models of Multiple Auditing Analysis and Logistic Regression are used, and their predictive power for bankruptcy of present companies of Tehran Stock Exchange is evaluated. Both models were using statistics of two groups of Tehran Stock Exchange companies. Both groups are composed of 32 companies who are the subject of the Article 141 of Commerce Act. The model of this analysis is KC and Bartzak (1985), which includes 9 financial ratios of accrual ratios of cash to total assets, current assets to total assets, quick ratio, sales to current assets, net income to total assets, and total liabilities to equity. It also includes cash flow statement rations, consisting of operational cash flow, operational cash flow to current liabilities, and operational cash flow to total liabilities.
The statistical result of analysis is the indication of validity of both models and selected financial ratios. The two models can well predict the financial crisis of the companies one year before occurring.

At present, following the establishment of the Iranian Association of Certified Public Accounts, the responsibility of expressing opinion on financial statements rests with the independent auditors. This responsibility, which entails rendering reliable services to the society, should be carried out according to pre-determined bases. Such fully thought bases, the objective thereof is to standardize financial reporting, are called Accounting Standards.
The discussion in the present research is whether after several years from the date the Accounting Standards, ratified by Audit Organization, are mandatory the auditors are aware of these standards and the modifications thereto to implement them in the process of audit work or are ignorant of these standards and carry out their work relying on their previous knowledge?
The results of this research show that about 65.5% to 81.9% of auditors have sufficient knowledge of Accounting Standards issue by Audi t Organization but this knowledge in all levels are not the same. Also, the level of auditing society's knowledge of these Accounting Standards is between 62.05% to 67.75%, but varies for different level of seniority and expertise.

An important qualitative attribute of financial statements is timeliness of their information. The recognition that the length of the audit may be the single most important determinant affecting the timeliness of reporting, has motivated recent research on audit delay. The present study investigates the determinants of audit delay in Iran. We examine the determinants of "audit delay," the number of calendar days from fiscal year-end to the audit report date. The sample comprises233 companies listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange during the period 1382-1384. Descriptive statistics indicate the average audit delay to be 84 days for the three years under study. Five hypotheses relating audit delay to company size, company profitability, company risk (financial risk), auditor and year-end are tested in this study. Univariate and multivariate analyses and t-test of differences are performed to test the hypotheses of the study. The results for the sample of 233 listed Iranian companies showed that audit delay was significantly related to the companies that have 29 Esfand year-end. Other four hypotheses found not to be significantly associated with audit delay.

This study investigates the effects of working capital management on the profitability of the firms listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. Withthis regard, variables such as receivables collection period, inventory conversion period, accounts payable payment period, and cash conversion cycle are used for the measurement of working capital management, and Return on Assets (ROA) is used for the measurement of profitability of the firms. Moreover, Sales growth, Leverage, and Size are used as control variables. Using multiple regression and considering the results of investigations of 224 firms in the period from 1382 to 1386, we find that there is a negative significant correlation between receivables collection period, Inventory conversion period, and cash conversion cycle with the profitability of firms listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. No evidence confirming significant correlation between accounts payable payment period and profitability is found. Considering this, the negative significant correlation between profitability and Cash conversion cycle measuring the joint effects of receivables collection period, Inventory conversion period and Accounts payable payment period indicates that firms can increase their profitability and create value for their stockholders by appropriate management of working capital and decreasing Cash conversion cycle logically.

This paper is aimed to review the effect of audit committee characteristics on the relationship between audit report timeliness and auditor task complexity in the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). After analyzing the theoretical foundations and research hypotheses through systematic sampling, 39 companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange were selected in a 6-year time-period 1391-1396 (i.e. 234 observations) as a statistical sample. The hypotheses have been tested within the sample by using the classic assumptions and multivariate linear regression. The results show that increasing the size, independence and the financial expertise of the audit committee would not weaken the intensity of the direct relationship between audit report timeliness and Audit Task Complexity

Behavioural finance approach gives us the possibility that in addition to the traditional concept of finance, human behaviour and psychological factors also result in variances in stock prices. In fact, this paper uses behavioural approach to transparency and understanding the impact of accidental and non-rational factors such as emotions on decision making process, to help decision makers. The research tries to answer these questions: Do mutual funds active in the Tehran Stock Exchange act according to herding behaviour? If they do, what kind of stocks (growth or value) and what kind of companies stock (in term of size, large or small) are the target of these acts? The hypotheses are as follows:− Mutual fund joint venture between herding behaviour exists in the Tehran Stock Exchange.− Herding behaviour of mutual fund is more common on smaller companies.− Herding behaviour of mutual fund shares on further growth.− Herding behaviour of mutual fund when purchasing less than sales growth is in stock.Herding behaviour of mutual fund when purchasing more than sales degrade is in stock

The Committee to Prepare a Statement of Basic Accounting Theory defines accounting as "the process of identifying, measuring and reporting economic information in a way that facilitates judgment and informed decision - making for the users of such information".
This definition is a beginning in recognition of the essence, extent, and subject of auditing. Auditing is often an inseparable part of transmission of economic information; therefore it plays an important role in reflection of recognition and measurement of the aforementioned information.
The Ever-increasing development of communities and the complexity of their particular problems have created a demand for relevant economic information, and thus an increasing demand for systems and processes that can help to meet this demand. These factors have resulted in an increasing need of auditing as a vital part in the whole process of transmission of information.
In recent years, there have been a lot of debates and discussions about the changes in and about future of the profession of auditing. This fact indicates tentative confirmation of the need of this profession to adapt itself to the needs and demands of the current economic communities. Before realization of the changes, a clear understanding of the function of auditing by each user is of great importance in order to decide about expediency and effectiveness of the proposed changes. Therefore the primary aim of the research is finding out the viewpoints of users of auditing services about the importance and effectiveness of auditing.
To do this research, we came up with four hypotheses. The necessary data for testing the hypotheses were collected through questionnaires. The first two hypotheses were tested by statistical method of normal distribution, the second two by chi2 statistical analysis. The tests were conducted at meaningful level of 0/05, and the results indicated that the participants in the survey thought auditing services are important, and are carried out effectively.

This research investigates the factors affecting on auditors' decision making and individual characteristics in applying Decision Aid for management fraud risk assessment. This study focuses on problems with applying Decision Aid and classification of effective factors. This research also investigates the effects of four independent variables on applying Decision Aid by auditors. The results indicate that Perceived usefulness, conformity pressure, big client size, low confidence and Decision Aids reliance are the most effective factors in order of degree of importance. And lack of the above mentioned factors are causes for avoiding of Decision Aid application in audit process. Except for confidence variable, other independent variables have a direct effect on dependent variables. Perceived usefulness is the most effective variable.

One of the ways to prevent fraud of management and increase the quality of financial information is the compliance quality characters of financial information, such as characteristic of conservatism. Adopt a conservative approach on the one hand by increasing the quality of financial information, and trading unit risk information, and ultimately reduces the cost of equity, But on the other hand, showing a poor image of the company, the risk of return on capital and at the result, cost of equity capital increases. In response to a question that ultimately conservatism increases costs of equity capital or reduce its, in this study the effect of the types of conservatism (conditional or unconditional) on the cost of equity capital has been studied. For this purpose, information about companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange during the period 1382 till 1389 has been used. To assess the relationship between conditional and unconditional conservatism with cost of equity capital, respectively, the model of the Basu (1977) and criterion market to book value, by Beaver and Ryan (2005) is used. The results showed that the association between conditional conservatism and cost of equity capital is negative and significant. In other words, if the bad news, more and timely than good news, reflected in accounting profits, cost of equity capital will increase. But there is no clear and significant relation between unconditional conservatism, and equity participation.

The economic development necessitate that accounting system provides accurate, on-time, and reliable information to all parties involved in the planning, implementation and controlling of development projects. So in developing countries such as Iran, accounting education and its development is part of the infrastructure required for economic development.
Past studies shows that Iranian accounting education system suffers from some fundamental deficiencies, and does not identify and educate true talents to create essential expertise for different sectors as expected. To remove such barriers, identification of development barriers will be the first step to be taken.
This research, tries to recognize these barriers, and to determine how much important is each of them. At the end, some recommendations have been presented to remove those barriers based on the results. The results show that poor English language ability and IT skills is the most important factor which can be considered as accounting education development barrier in Iran.

According to economic theory, industry-wide component of firm performance is more persistent than the firm- specific component. This paper provided evidence on this assertion and examines the relative persistence of industry-wide profit and firm-specific profit. For this purpose the information of 135 companies from 12 industries in the years 1386 to 1393 were used. Consistent with the predictions the results showed that the industry-wide profit is remarkably more persistent than firm-specific profit. Also the industry-wide profit and the firm-specific profit were analyzed to cash flow and accruals. The study of these four components showed that the industry-wide cash flow was the most persistent component and the firm-specific accruals is the least persistent. Moreover the whole industry was divided into two groups of similar and dissimilar and the persistence of industry-wide profit and firm-specific profit were examined in the groups. As a result the industry-wide profit in similar group was more persistent than that in dissimilar group. In addition similarity or dissimilarity has no effect on persistence of firm-specific profit.

Earnings forecast accuracy can affect investment efficiency. We expect that an increase in earnings forecast accuracy will result in an increase in investment efficiency and a decrease in both over-investment and under-investment. The purpose of this study is to examine the relation between management earnings forecast accuracy and investment efficiency. Following the literature, we use the deviation from the expected level of investment considering the growth opportunities, as the measure of investment efficiency. To examine the hypotheses, we identify a sample of 133 firms listed on Tehran Securities and Stock Exchange during the period of 2009-2013.Regression analysis is used to examine the hypotheses and 10 control variables (size, ROA, Tobin’s Q, sales growth, leverage, stock return, forecast horizon, stdev. Stock returns, stdev. ROA and stdev. I) are used in the regression models. Findings suggest that there is a positive relationship between earnings forecast accuracy and investment efficiency and there is a negative relationship between earnings forecast accuracy and over-investment. In case of under-investment the relation is not strong. The results of examining hypotheses indicate that an increase in earnings forecast accuracy results in an increase in investment efficiency and a decrease in over-investment. Regarding the under-investment, no strong relation was found between earnings forecast accuracy an under-investment.

Prospect theory explains how individuals’ feelings and preferences influence their decision-making. The purpose of this research was to investigate earnings manipulation incentives within companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange using fourfold pattern of risk attitudes provided by the cumulative prospect theory. The period of this research was 6 years, from 2013 to 2018 and included 695 observations. Hypothesis testing using logistic regression, with the average competitor performance within the industry as the reference point, revealed a significant positive (vs. negative) effect of management’s loss (vs. gain) estimates relative to the reference point on earnings manipulation. In other words, when management’s estimate of the likelihood of loss relative to the reference point is high (vs. low), the likelihood of earnings manipulation increases (vs. decreases). Furthermore, when management’s estimate of the likelihood of gain relative to the reference point is low (vs. high), the likelihood of earnings manipulation increases (vs. decreases). The findings of research also provided evidence for loss-aversion among managers. Therefore, the evidence suggests that the cumulative prospect theory can be utilized to explain managerial incentives for earnings manipulation.

Failure of audit reports has recently leaded to fundamental criticisms toward auditing profession and the magnifying of profession defects (in order to stakeholders’ value protection). In this field, auditor not only intrinsically should be independent, , but also they should seem independent in auditing and attesting about financial statements. Considering the importance of independence, this paper simultaneous investigates the influence of performing audit and non-audit services on auditor independence. Also, the influence of non-audit services and a reliable organization supervision on simultaneous performing of audit and non-audit services and also auditing separation of duties on independence has been studied. Questionnaire tool was used for gathering required data and questionnaires were distributed between academics and stock analyzers. For gathering information from questionnaire, in which Likert spectrum was used for analysis, and testing hypotheses, proportion test and Minitab software were used. Research findings reveal that if audit and non-audit services were performed by two different groups of auditors, or if they were performed under supervision of a reliable supervisory organization, the impairment of auditor independence won't happen and the level of non-audit services and also the simultaneous performance of audit and non-audit services has no effect on auditor independence.

In this paper the functional fixation hypothesis is tested from investors’ viewpoint of net operating assets (bloated balance sheet phenomena). The study is at firm level in Tehran Stock Exchange using the data of 153 firms for 7 years (1382- 1389). The functional fixation hypothesis states that If investors with limited attention focus on accounting profitability, and neglect information about cash profitability, then net operating assets, the cumulative difference between operating income and free cash flow, measures the extent to which reporting outcomes provoke over-optimism. Our findings from Univariate and Multivariate regressions show that the hypothesis is accepted based on multivariate test and is rejected based on univariate test. These findings show that with control variables consideration bloated balance sheet affect investor decision process in Iran, too.
